Thai Boxing (Muay Thai)
Thailand's own
martial art is has gained a worldwide following and is growing more
popular by the day. At New Body and Mind Retreats we teach you the
basics in this workshop, which has proved to be among the most
popular with our guests. Going home with the basics of Thai boxing
under your belt is way better than a wooden elephant!

Beach Volleyball
Our beach
volleyball court is one of the most popular spots at the retreat,
and there is an enjoyable and relaxing match every day. Come and
join us!
Water Sports
When was the last
time you tossed a frisbee in the ocean? If it's been awhile,
give it a go and get a good workout while having the time of your
life. For the boating set, grab a sea kayak and paddle around the
gulf with your new friend or alone with your thoughts.
Table Tennis
Very beneficial for
your health is a sport enjoyable at any level. It will make you
sweat, increase your heart rate and your reflexes too. You can play
it according to your own capabilities and still be competitive.

Flex and Tone
Less
aggressive and requiring less exertion than the standard gym fare
you may be accustomed to, the flex and tone session at New Body and
Mind Retreat is another alternative form of exercise that gets you
back in shape effortlessly and painlessly.

This informative
workshop is highly recommended for all. Thai herbs are renowned for
their benefits in
both cooking and healing, and we'll tell you when, which and how to
apply them in your daily life.

Introduction
to Thai Cooking

Thai cuisine is
perhaps even more popular than our boxing, if the number of
restaurants springing up around the world is any indication. We'll
teach you some of the classic Thai recipes with which to amaze your
friends back home. If you're fasting, however, this could be hard to
watch.
Soap Carving Class
The Thais are
celebrated for their creativity and the delicacy of their
craftsmanship. Your instructor will demonstrate the simple art of
soap carving so that you'll never have to look at a boring bar of
soap again.
Thai Language and Culture Basics
We remember what it
was like to be a stranger in a strange land that had a different
word for everything! In this hour-long workshop, we'll impart to you
enough of the basics of language and culture to assure that you know
what to to with you hands, feet and mouth on most occasions. We
foreigners are always a source of great amusement to the Thais, so
this mini-course won't get too serious, and even the most obstinate
beer-guzzling biker is bound to pass.
Live Music (Mon, Wed, Fri)
Every Monday evening, Samart and his guitar will croon
all the international
favorites. One of the island's top musicians, Samart is sure to woo
you with his soft, intimate style, so hold onto your date! On Wednesday evenings,
he'll be back to introduce you to Thai music and his favorite Thai songs.
Music has no boundaries, and this this is a great chance to get into
the rhythms of our side of the world.

Bonfire on the Beach
On
Saturday evenings,
all the guests and staff congregate around the bonfire. One of our most popular,
and certainly warming, activities it won't be long before you're singing, dancing and launching fire balloons on the beach
with everyone else, gathering yet more fond memories to bring back
home.
New Body and Mind Sundays
Ahh
Sunday! No classes...just maximum relaxation, reading, swimming,
steaming, reflecting, studying, hanging out,
jumping into the 4-wheel for a free jungle discovery or the minibus
for a tour of the Island.
